Gabi meets Arizona

From the floor of Allie.....

Why am I sitting on the floor?  Well, that answer is simple.  Mazer is on the couch and I can't bring myself to tell him to move and this way I'm closer to him.  Separation anxiety from our dog?  Yes indeed.  Anyways, back to the matter at hand.  Last week, my dearest Gabi came out to AZ to visit.  Gabi and I have been friends since my family moved to NC in the fourth grade, even though the first time we met she chose to hang out with a wooly worm rather than go to Pizza Hut with me.

She is like a third daughter to my folks too so when we found out she was coming to AZ for a few days everyone was excited.  First thing we did?  Went to breakfast of course!

These are Phoenix famous waffle dogs (split by the whole table of course), applewood sausage wrapped in waffle batter.  In other words...its fair food, delicious fair food.  Served with maple syrup and hot sauce.

We had a blast, hanging out by the pool, shopping for wedding stuff, and just chatting.

We also went to a murder mystery dinner theater about a vampire marrying a redneck from.....yup, Kentucky.

Sounds cheesy right?  Well it was, however, it turned out to be large amounts of fun.  The actors did a great job of getting everyone involved.  Chris even got to be a groomsmen in a vampire/redneck wedding!  Here he is on stage with Madam Chinski (he/she was a blast).

Gabi, mom, and dad pondering who the murderer could be.

It was such a fun evening with spectacular company.  Truthfully, Gabi lights up any room she walks into and it was so much fun to be able to spend 5 days around her.  I cannot wait until her wedding!!
