Lately Allie and I have been struggling with the financial aspect of our journey to China. The amount of money we have to raise seems staggering-- our first deadline is almost $26,000 in less that 2 months. But, if we truly believe that we are called to go teach in China, we need to truly believe that the Father will provide. If He is calling us to go then He has already promised us the means by which to go.
On Good Friday we found ourselves particularly overwhelmed with this prospect. We were overcome with a feeling of helplessness and found ourselves lead to pryr. We asked the Father to give us comfort, to take our dispair, and to give us faith that He would provide.
Friday evening I received a phone call from a friend. His family had pledged to partner with someone else, but it turns out that the partnership fell through. Since the original partnership couldn't happen, his family wanted to use their pledge to partner with us instead!
Saturday morning we received an e-mail for another partnership! The Father provided in a MAJOR way! Friday afternoon we had hit our knees in pryr for the Father to give us the strength to rely on Him as we had less than 4% of our partnerships... 12 hours later we are hitting our knees in praise because we now have 45% of what we need for the deadline!
I am continually amazed at the power of the Father to answer pryr! The real humbling part is that I shouldn't be amazed. Why should it amaze me that someone keeps their word? Rather, I should expect the Father to fulfill His promises, not be amazed when He does!

To those who continue to partner with us, you truly are an answer to pryr! We cannot wait to see how you are blessed for your faithfulness!
