The War on Mold

So since we got back from Thailand, Chris and I have had a cold, cough, fever, and/or snotty nose fairly nonstop.  Then the other morning, in the shower I looked up and saw this.

Apparently, the mold decided it ruled our apartment while we were gone.

We have been told that in our province, it is so humid that the first two floors of buildings are notorious for mold.  Being on the second floor gave us a chance to experice this first-hand.  Also, we got to use the sleep masks that our students gave us for Christmas.

Be afraid mold, be very afraid.

It worked! We even scrubbed some of the plaster off the ceiling.  Unfortunately, there were some casualties and since then my cold has worsened into an all out blarg fest of sinus pressure and hacking cough.  I'm pretty sure that's an actual diagnosis too.
