Our first meal

From the lakehouse couch of Allie....

A much delayed post on our first meal in America (not including airplane food over U.S. air space).  Our first order of business in America was to attend a professional meeting for Chris to grade some radiology exams.  You would think he'd be tired of grading by now but... I digress.  So our first meal was a late dinner in our hotel after the longest day ever.  We left for the airport in Guangzhou China at 6am on June 20th and arrived in Minneapolis 36 hours later at 6pm.

We talk about food a lot on this blog and so you can imagine how excited we were to eat off a menu full of boneless meat and soups without the heads of poultry in them.  Here's what we had:

Salad! That's right Chris and I both opted for some fresh veggies and soup, and let me tell you... it was phenomenal.  They do not believe in serving raw vegetables in China so we hadn't had salad since we left.

The next day, we did the only logical thing for two people to do when returning from China, we went to the Mall of America.  You might think this would be horribly overwelming and we were afraid of that too but there are some good maternity shops there so we ventured out, with a list of course.  And it wasnt too bad at all!

We are so happy to be back in the States and can't wait to see everyone!
