Dong Bei, its whats for dinner

From the bed of Allie....

While we were gone for spring festival, the large building that houses 2 of our favorite restaurants was torn down.  Seeing as we only had 3 restaurants we frequented....we had to search for a new one.  Fortunately, a friend of Chris's took him to a great Dong Bei restaurant after class one day.  Dong bei literally means 'east north' and serves food in the style of northeastern China.  We love this place so much we eat here almost every other day.  Here's why:

Great Chinglish water jugs:

Strawberry, the foreign raspberry....of course!

The food is served on trays that remind me of middle school:

This is Chris's favorite, Kung Pao Chicken.

The moo shu pork contains something called wood ear mushrooms? Ears in food?  Delicious!

Easy to read menus...if I could read Chinese that is.

This place is great!  Much easier than cooking and tastier too!
